-Washington Irving
My son, Christopher, turns 24 this week.
My earliest memory of our relationship was when we were getting ready to leave the hospital after his birth. I had this incredible feeling of intense anquish; at that moment, I knew that he would leave me someday. This little person whom I fell in love with before first sight would be leaving me soon.
Years later I head the phrase – the days are long but the years are short.
Christopher holds a place in my heart that no one else does. The pride I have for him is unrivaled. He makes me a better person everyday.
Happy Birthday, Christopher. Thanks for being my Son-shine.
