Monday Morning Motivation

Here you discover that so long as books are kept open, then minds can never be closed.”

― Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States of America. He was an inspiring leader and visionary.

I love to study the lives of US presidents. No matter their politics, I find their leadership styles fascinating and the way they dealt with challenges faced during their presidency (mostly) inspiring.

Recently, I discovered that Ronald Reagan kept extensive notes on his favorite quotations, proverbs, poems, snippets from books and, especially, jokes! The Notes, Ronald Reagan’s Private Collection of Stories and Wisdom was a peek into what inspired this man to be and do.

Another of my favorites is in the chapter titled On Character: “People are lonely who build walls instead of bridges.” Anon
