Monday Morning Motivation

“This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three hundred and sixty four.”

Mark Twain

Today is the day some would call April Fools Day. A day for playing pranks and telling long tales.

When I was young, my mother would always wake me up and say, “Look outside Eileen, it’s snowing!” Followed by an “April Fools”. This was as good as jokes got in my house… Back then, it rarely snowed on April 1st – the serendipitous no school days were over until next year.

I’m not as cynical as Mark Twain so while I’m fine making mistakes 365 days of the year, I do try to learn from them and not to be the fool.

Though, come to think of it, every year I would fall for that joke of my mother’s. Perhaps I can rename the day to April Hope Day.

I’m hoping you are becoming the best version of yourself today.
